PACE^® 2 System Assays

Overview:
The PACE System of products includes a full line of non-amplified DNA probe assays for Chlamydia trachomatis (CT) and Neisseria gonorrhoeae (GC). The PACE line of assays were first introduced in 1988 and continue to offer customers a reliable, proven non-amplified STD testing solution.

Use:
The PACE 2C System continues to meet the needs of today's clinical laboratories that prefer a cost-effective, non-amplified NAT assay for routine screening for chlamydia infections and gonorrhea. Other products in the PACE 2 product line include individual tests to detect and confirm both chlamydia infections (PACE 2 CT and PACE 2 CT PCA) and gonorrhea (PACE 2 GC and PACE 2 GC PCA).

		PACE® 2C System for CHLAMYDIA TRACHOMATIS and NEISSERIA GONORRHOEAE Description: Single-tube assay using non-amplified nucleic acid hybridization technology to screen for the presence of both Chlamydia trachomatis and/or Neisseria gonorrhoeae from endocervical and urethral swab specimens. 		PACE® 2 NEISSERIA GONORRHOEAE Probe Competition Assay (PCA) Description: A rapid DNA probe test using non-amplified competitive nucleic acid hybridization. The PCA assay is a supplemental test to verify non-specific signal in endocervical and male urethral swab specimens that test positive in the PACE 2 System assays for Neisseria gonorrhoeae.
